Customizing Prefix

Moonlit allows you to customize its command prefix to suit your server’s style and prevent conflicts with other bots. This gives you full control over how commands are triggered within your community.

Default Prefix: >

To Change the Prefix: Use the following command in any text channel where Moonlit is active:

>prefix <new_prefix>

Example:

>prefix !

After this, all Moonlit commands will use the new prefix (e.g., !play, !skip, !queue, etc.).

Notes:

• Only members with the Manage Server permission can change the prefix.

• The new prefix is saved automatically and remains even after restarts.

• To reset back to the default prefix, use:

  >prefix reset
